In order to respond to the policies of energy saving and carbon reduction as well as the implementation of electronic uniform invoices, our country is planning to terminate computer uniform invoices by January 1, 2021.

The Ministry of Finance stated that there are six types of uniform invoices including triplicate uniform invoices, duplicate uniform invoices, special uniform invoices, cash register uniform invoices, computer uniform invoices, and electronic uniform invoices based on Paragraph 1, Article 7 of the Regulations Governing the Use of Uniform Invoices. Among the above, computer uniform invoices will be terminated on January 1, 2021, and National Taxation Bureaus will no longer assign computer uniform invoice letter track numbers. Business entities shall choose to use from the other types of uniform invoices of their own free will in consideration of their scales, operational requirements, information capacities, etc. In order to avoid an adverse impact on their business operations caused by the termination of computer uniform invoices, the Ministry of Finance announced that business entities had better complete to apply electric uniform invoices or the other types of uniform invoices by December 31, 2020.
